A HYDROFEMINIST FILM FESTIVAL
I founded and curated a socially engaged film festival in a hydrofeminist approach: combining feminism and water-related climate issues. It's a community based event in Wrocław, we watched documentaries about forefront of climate change, had discussions circles and workshops aimed to empower womxn for climate action.
WHO IS SONYAMORIA
Artist, international film producer, and activist. She has been working in film independently for over 7 years now, supporting numerous NGOs and social movements with her art and skills. Her work has been exhibited in several countries in Europe. She took part in documentary film projects and sets in Europe and Asia, in countries like Poland, Spain, Sweden, Indonesia, Philippines.
Ecofeminist, hydrofeminist and pleasure activist. She is a active member of the Humanity in Action and the New Visions activist networks. She follows an intersectional approach in her art and activist work, striving for a more equitable reality for all beings. An advocate and practitioner of regenerative culture - she keeps a high standard of ethics and safety in all of her projects.
She graduated from communication design, journalism, and cultural studies with a specialization in film and media. Visual art, especially reportage photography and documentary filmmaking, has always been a major part of her life. She found her calling to be a filmmaker when she was living in Indonesia and witnessed both the climate changing in the Global South regions and its immense pollution. Since then she decided to utilize her artistic skills as a powerful way to help the world.
